Wetangula was not re-elected. In winning back the seat, he did so with an overwhelming majority. The other thing that pleases me immensely is that I did not see any Senator from the Opposite side campaigning; I do not know whether that was by design, but I took it as a sign of support for Sen. Wetangula. I think that is a good sign. If there is any Senator who shows good leadership and belongs to the party opposite, Senators would be reluctant to be seen outwardly campaigning against that person. I think that one also sends messages – not only to the electorate – but it has also helped this House work in a bipartisan manner. I think the formation of the Special Committee that was appointed in relation to Governor Wambora concretized the fact that we are working in a bipartisan manner. But having said that, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I cannot discount the fact that, probably, the party opposite was involved in the elections by proxy.
