While I also appreciate the response from the Chair of the Committee I have a few concerns as raised by my other colleagues. One is the involvement of the Members of Parliament when undertaking the selection of the dams. I think that has been the biggest problem; we have not been involved. As a result, there is duplication. You will find in one village or centre a dam is being constructed by a water service board, the regional water authority and the county government. This is duplication of work and misuse of resources. I think the Ministry needs to sit down with the technical team. Members of Parliament should be involved as much as possible. We should have a say in this."}
