I oppose it for a number of reasons. The first reason why I oppose the Bill is because we are going through a very difficult moment as a country in terms of the wage bill which is unmanageable. Even the President and the Deputy President have led by example by taking a cut in their pay. I think we need to do a lot more as Members who make laws by way of managing even the authorities that we set up. In my view, if we can have a department in a Ministry doing what the authority should do, we should encourage it."}
