I just want to draw the attention of hon. Members to Clause 6(3), which says that a police officer may, without procuring a warrant of arrest, arrest and prefer charges against any person who the police officer reasonably suspects to have assaulted or threatens to assault a family member. This is such a vague law. Indeed a police officer can just show up on the doors of my house one day, claim that I look like I want to harass my wife, arrest and lock me up in jail. That is what this proposed law means. We need to do a lot of correction to this Bill."}
