Chairlady, I support the proposed amendment. What the hon. Member has indicated in relation to the victim’s cultural values and beliefs is indeed, true. I would want to presume because we sat with the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs, and because of time we may have missed out that. I do not know if it would be in order for the Chair to move a further amendment or I could do it; that the victim’s cultural values and beliefs in line with the Constitution are respected. As it is, I was actually making reference to Clause 4 (1) (a) and Clause 2, that it is subject to sub-section (1). If it is subject to sub-section (1), then it is made subject to the Constitution.
