My colleague, the Chairman of the Committee, who is a lawyer, said that when the witness or the complainant gives evidence, he or she should be denied a chance to give submissions. I think it is wrong because you cannot say that it is only a lawyer who can submit on your behalf. Some of the accused persons may be lawyers. Therefore, it should be left open so that a complainant who is a witness can give final submissions at the close of a case. Therefore, the witness should not be denied a change to make final submissions."}
