Chairlady, I beg to move:- THAT Clause 21 be amended− (a) by re-numbering the existing clause as sub-clause (1); (b) by inserting the following new sub-clause immediately after sub-clause (1) – (2) In the performance of his duties, the Director of Geological Survey or a duly authorized officer may─ (a) enter any license or permit area; (b) upon informing the lawful owner or legal occupant, enter into or upon any land for the purpose of carrying out surveys; (c) take soil samples or specimens of rocks, concentrate, tailings or minerals from any license or permit area for the purpose of examination or assay; (d) break up the surface of the land for the purpose of ascertaining the rocks or minerals within or under it; and (e) dig up any land and fix any post, stone, mark or object to be used in the survey of such land."}
