G.G. Kariuki, people would not believe that I was a Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Lands when Sen. G.G. Kariuki was an Assistant Minister for Lands. For that reason, probably, he appreciates me a little bit and I appreciate him a lot and always refer to his seniority. Now that the Senate has formed a Committee to show that we are together in this tragedy, let us not just be together because we have lost a colleague. We should not wait for Kenya to be torn apart to love our nation. We should love it while we have the opportunity to build it into a great nation. With those few remarks, I hope that the family will find comfort in every word that will be said in this Senate. I pray that he rests in eternal peace."}
