I support my colleagues who have said that the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) should not be withdrawn from Somalia. Doing so would be showing cowardice. I know that they are well trained. The Americans shied off and pulled out their forces from Somalia. But Kenya, as a strong country with well- trained forces, should continue fighting the terrorists in Somalia. As Members of Parliament, we need to remain united. The two Houses of Parliament – the Senate and the National Assembly – should chart the way forward with a view to supporting the leadership of this country to tackle insecurity. Whenever there is a problem, we should think together. If we observe that something is wrong somewhere, we should advise the President to act appropriately."}
