Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me the chance to contribute to this Motion. As my colleagues have said before, a number of social challenges are facing this country which are manifesting in insecurity and the security posture for this country. This country has been embarking on a road of liberty; creating a liberal environment, oblivious of our culture, social framework and geographical positioning. We are trying to position ourselves almost as a western country. In fact, I am reminded of a quote by one American politician who said that when the pursuit of liberty destroys order, the pursuit of order will destroy liberty. As we try to become more liberal in our framework and thinking, we forget the things that create a social order and framework for our people. And now in a bid to claw back the losses that we have suffered in social order, we will certainly have to claw back the liberties that we have afforded our societies."}
