Wetangula, rose to seek a clarification from the Chairperson, Sen. (Prof.) Kindiki, he said:- “Mr. Speaker, Sir, you heard the Chairman tell us and you could see from his demeanour--- That is the word he used; facial appearance; “that he did not even appear---” Indeed, Sen. Wetangula even used the word “appear,” which was really being repetitive for purposes of emphasis; “to believe in what he was saying; that our forest cover is 6.9 per cent. This is a big joke---” And he continued. Now, when the Chairperson rose to respond, he said:- “Before I even proceed, I seek your indulgence. I am very disturbed that an hon. Member can stand and say: ‘reading from my misdemeanour---’"}
