Therefore, I read that in conjunction with Standing Order No.220 of our Standing Orders so that they know that I am doing this not on my behalf, but on the behalf of the Petitioners. Standing Order No.220(1) states:- “A Petition to the Senate shall- (a) be submitted to the Clerk by the petitioner and reported to the Senate by the Speaker; or (b) presented by a Senator on behalf of a petitioner, with the consent of the Speaker.” Mr. Speaker, Sir, thou hath provideth your consent.
