But when it comes to criminal law, everyone carries their own cross. You cannot lump together accusations of a spouse with the other spouse. So, you are right to the extent of ownership. But the question which was being debated here is that accusations can lead to commission of a crime; a felony, even for that matter. Therefore, that issue should be about individual responsibility.
