Member of Parliament or of a County Assembly shall not actively participate in a fundraising function or conduct a fundraising appeal, whether directly or indirectly, during his or her term as a Member of Parliament. (2) Notwithstanding subsection (1), a Member of Parliament may make an anonymous contribution to a fundraising appeal conducted in accordance with this Act. (3) A person who contravenes the provisions of this section shall be liable to a fine not exceeding eight hundred thousand shillings."}
