In the Statement, the Chairperson should address the following:- (a) explain whether the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) carried out an impact assessment of the project, and if so, whether the project was approved; (b) explain why the project is being carried out in a riparian area; and, (c) explain the measures that the Government has put in place to reclaim the riparian area and protect the environment.
