A cultural practice cannot be eradicated in a day. It should be done gradually. If you look at Part 3 of the Bill under miscellaneous provisions, there are measures to be undertaken by the Government. I appreciate the steps taken by our women leaders, especially hon. Kilimo. Part C of the Bill says:- “The Government should undertake public education and sensitize the people of Kenya on the dangers and adverse effects of FGM”."}
