Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move:- THAT, the Bill be amended in Clause 95 by inserting the words “or imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years, or to both” in sub-clause (5). The reason for the insertion of this penalty is because of failure to keep a register of members of a company which should be open for inspection and ought to be lodged with the Registrar. I hear some murmurs here that there are some threats to be visited upon me. These threats should be nullified by the passage of this amendment. We were seeking to do a good job, but in the light of the anticipated opposition, I withdraw this amendment."}
