I wish to thank Mr. Rop who is my constituent for exercising his constitutional right by bringing a petition to the Senate. As my colleague has just mentioned, certainly what the petitioner has petitioned is provided for in our Constitution, and I am sure when this petition goes to the relevant committee of this House, they will probably be informed of the requirements of the law and they should be addressed. I believe that the petitioner has the goodwill and the interest of the country more specifically, because the wage bill is a topical issue in this country and I am sure in addressing issues like the number of units in the country, one may take interest in looking at the wage bill as well and consider it along those lines. I think this is a matter for discourse and discussion by not only this House but the rest of the country as this is an issue that can be debated at great lengths for the benefit of the country. I thank you."}
