However, in view of the fact that, indeed, Members have on many occasions received such messages from the Office of the Speaker, could you direct the Office of the Speaker or whoever is issuing those messages, that they should stop confusing the role of the Speaker with that of the Whip, so that they desist from deriving duties from Standing Orders that do not exist?"
