Mulu","speaker_title":"","speaker":{"id":1955,"legal_name":"Benson Makali Mulu","slug":"benson-makali-mulu"},"content":"THAT, Clause 30 of the Bill be amended by deleting sub-clause (2) and substituting therefor the following new sub-clause (2) – (2) The Mineral Rights Board shall comprise of – (a) a chairperson with demonstrable knowledge and experience of the minerals and mining sector, who shall be appointed by the President; (b) the Principal Secretary responsible for matters relating to mining; (c) the Principal Secretary responsible for the National Treasury; (d) one person who shall be nominated by the Council of County Governors from amongst the Governors; (e) the Chairperson of the National Land Commission; (f) the Director of Mines who shall be the secretary to the Mineral Rights Board; (g) the Director of Geological Surveys; and (h) two persons with professional qualifications and experience in the mining industry who shall be appointed by the Cabinet Secretary."}
