I also grew up in Nyeri County where many of us use kerosene and paraffin lamps. For years, my family used a kerosene lamp. It was not until much later that I discovered solar power. Even for personal fulfilment and choices, we have a country where many homes continue to use kerosene, which is a lot more expensive and has a lot of health issues. I wish somebody could just let them know that solar power is cheaper and better."}
