In giving this Ministerial Statement to this House, I would wish him to address the following pertinent issues regarding this issue which has affected a big percentage of livestock in Nyatike District. One, I would like to know what urgent measures are being put in place to contain the outbreak that has seen several animals dying since the beginning of the outbreak. Two, I would like to know why there are no livestock field officers and when they will be posted there. I would also like to know how many animals have been lost since the beginning of that outbreak. The Minister should also include, in his statement, a compensation package that the Government has put in place for farmers who have lost"}
