The Bill establishes the framework for doing research. This is an ongoing thing. The proposed Kenya Forestry College will be a valuable addition in the Government effort to properly manage our forest resources. There is going to be a well-equipped institution of learning, specifically on forestry issues. It will also have to undertake a lot of research. Currently, we have some institutions which do a lot of forestry research, but this is integrated with other courses like wildlife and conservation management. Some of our students go to our neighbouring country like Tanzania for these courses."}
