Members for passing this important legislation which is a requirement by the new Constitution. This Bill is going to help us, as a country, to ensure that we protect our traditions in terms of knowledge and traditional cultural expressions. There is a Kiswahili saying that: “ Muacha mila ni mtumwa ”. It says, “He who forsakes his culture is in bondage”. I support that saying. This Bill is going to ensure that, that saying makes sense and is important to Kenya."}
