The Standing Orders that guide us in any activities that we do in Parliament are very clear. Standing Order No. 176 on the discharge of a member from a committee is very clear. Standing Order No. 176 (1) says: “The parliamentary party that nominated a member to a select committee may give notice, in writing, to the Speaker that the member is to be discharged from a select committee.”"}
