We, as a House, are mandated to ensure that there is rule of law. We will be setting a bad precedence if we receive such a petition and then reduce our arguments to the level of asking ourselves whether an appointee is from a minority community, marginalized or a woman. The question that we should be asking is whether the law was followed in her appointment. We have a good Constitution, but the problem is that we do not want to follow it. The mandate of the relevant Committee should be to inquire whether the law was followed."}
