The Bill provides a framework to strengthen Kenya’s position as a financial hub of choice in the region through incentives, addressing bottlenecks and putting in place the necessary market infrastructure and market development. I will also be tabling the Financial Services Authority Bill which provides for much more than a simple merger of the existing non-banking regulatory by encompassing issues of market conduct, financial services, consumer protection and addressing existing regulatory gaps such as regulations of credit provision."}
