At the outset, I support the Motion by Hon. Mwaura. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, innovation is not rocket science. It is the application of better solutions that would meet the new requirements. It is a process whereby you re-engineer to use less for more. Innovation is the way to go in this country. Vision 2030 will be a mirage if we will not embrace innovation. It is about value addition. I was in Europe - the United Kingdom to be more specific - about three months ago. I went to the shops to buy tea leaves. I got a packet of tea leaves which was branded “Yorkshire Tea” but, in very small prints, I could see it was written “Original Kenyan Tea”. That is basic value addition; basic value addition that we really need to have in this country."}
