I would like to support the amendment. In fact, once passed, the Contempt of Court Bill will become a premier law with regard to contempt of court. Using the word “derogation”, like the Departmental Committee Chair has said, does not make a lot of sense in this case. Therefore, I support this amendment so that once approved, this law can supersede any other law on contempt of court. Thank you."}
