In order to address the challenges in the health sector, I propose to extend the incentives earlier granted by exempting from VAT medical equipment and apparatus for use in the specialised hospitals. I have proposed changes in the Capital Markets Act and Public Finance Management Act to accommodate Islamic finance products to enhance financial deepening.
