Temporary Deputy Chairman, I would like to support the Committee’s amendment. One of the highlights that the Chair has not given is contained in Clause 28(3): “An asylum seeker shall report to the nearest government administrative officer who shall then direct him to the designated refugee reception officers.” Part of the challenges we have had as a country is that we have refugees walking across the breadth of Kenya without reporting to anyone else. That particular inclusion by the committee is a good amendment. I support."}
