(Prof.) Ekal Imana Malachy Charles): Mr. Speaker, Sir, this is my maiden speech, being the first time to talk in this House. I would like to congratulate the Speaker for having been elected the Speaker. Being somebody that I have known outside the House, I feel comfortable seeing you there. I also congratulate the rest of you for having been elected into the current offices that you hold. I am a teacher by profession and this is the first time to be in politics. Being in a place like this, it feels like being in a different world because I am used to the classroom and I do not know the traditions of the political institution that I am in now. I note that all the speakers that spoke before me redundantly repeated “Mr. Speaker.” I do not know if that is the way it is supposed to be or people just like calling Mr. Speaker. When I speak, I will be addressing the House but with respect to the Speaker. So, I will make a lot of mistakes but when I make them, you need to understand"}
