The law does not require you to carry an identity card, but definitely if somebody was to ask you whether you are a Kenyan or not and you do not have it, you would go to unnecessary inconvenience before you prove it. So, we would advice that if you cannot carry the original, at least carry some information that can show that you have been registered and you are a Kenyan."}
