Wellwishers came to give us food, which is good. However, as a country, after 50 years of Independence, should we receive donations even from dry countries that are known to be semi-desert? As a leader, this is a shame. We are where we are and as we move on, as leaders, we should not lament but take action. This is a very important Motion which should be anchored in law. It will help us sort out a lot of our problems. We should not be lining up our people to give them food. We are blessed. My colleagues have talked about the ongoing rains, which came at a time when we needed them. We had suffered losses in the pastoralist community. Our animals died in large numbers. As the Member for Kajiado Central, I have a big challenge when disbursing NG-CDF because everybody is needy now."}
