Pursuant to Standing Order No.46(2)(b), I rise to seek a statement from the Chairperson of the Committee on Roads and Transportation regarding Kainuk-Nadapal, Lodwar-Lokitang and Lodwar- Lokiriama roads in Turkana County. In the statement, the Chairperson should explain the following:- (a) why the Kainuk-Nadapal Road, which is the main highway connecting Kenya and South Sudan is dilapidated; (b) why the bridge at Kainuk which was washed away by the rains has not been permanently fixed and when it will be repaired; (c) why the road from Lodwar-Lokitang has not been tarmacked despite the Government promise that it will be tarmacked; (d) why Lodwar-Lokiriama Road construction has stagnated and clarify whether or not---"}
