Even our Kikuyu language is now weak because it has been assimilated by the whiteman’s language and culture. There might be no Kikuyu language in the next 30 years. That is a fact. Many people here know of children who do not speak Kikuyu despite the fact that their parents are Kikuyu. If one is to learn their local language, the truth is that they will not be employed for knowing that local language. We should forget about that and move forward.
