I listened to him carefully. An allegation is different from a statement of fact. What he said was not even an allegation or a statement of fact. He said; “If the President” and we can confirm from the HANSARD. We have freedom of expression and if you begin to curtail it in a House of Parliament, then the Kenyan democracy will die. I think we are being overly sensitive. We must speak truth to each other. In order to have a proper resolution of this matter, the HANSARD is available. We shall look at the HANSARD and find out. Sen. (Dr.) Kabaka said that; “I am speaking as a lawyer”. He was very careful about what he wanted to say. He said; “If you Mr. President are doing business”. I urge that we look at the HANSARD and if it happens that he made a statement of fact and not a statement of speculation, or a proposition which is not factual, then as part of the leadership in this House, I will be the first to call upon Sen. (Dr.) Kabaka to substantiate. However, I think we are trying to crucify him without hearing him out."}
