I want to thank the Minister for that intervention. I said I have no intentions of dismissing the statistics as captured in the survey. There are challenges which are acknowledged in the Survey Report. Instead of continuing to live with these challenges, I was seeking leave of the House so that this can be dealt with once and for all. In the Report itself, it is said that, “while allocating CDF among constituencies on the basis of the relative numbers of the poor is a pro-poor move, vis-à-vis unequal distribution, additional consideration and alternatives should be taken into account in designing an allocating formula.” Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, that is contained in the Report. The Report itself acknowledges the shortcomings and what I am seeking from the House is an opportunity to improve this allocating formula."}
