Mutula Kilonzo Jnr. that when this Petition was read, I was discussing with a fellow colleague while Sen. (Dr.) Musuruve was making her contribution, that time has come for us as the Senate to set the threshold of what passes to be a petition worth being brought before this House. Basic knowledge should be able to inform us that it must be a matter of extreme public interest, for example, one that affects a county because that is our primary duty. Otherwise, we will be adjudicating ourselves roles that we do not have in the first place. The simple question that I have is: What will the Committee conclude? What will they say? Where will they take the person who has deprived Mr. Ng’ang’a off his land? It does not make sense. I oppose this Petition."}
