I need to read to the House the sentiments of the Japanese lawyers. Indeed, two of them have withdrawn. They are lawyer Yana Dawa and Kijima. Lawyer Kijima said: âThe price that was offered and agreed here is extremely highâ. I want to provide this letter because I do not want to go through it. He said: â Payment of 80 per cent of the purchase price is something unheard of in Japanâ. All of us in one way or the other must have had some sort of transaction. Where on earth do you pay 80 per cent of the purchase price without a lawyer, valuer, the Attorney-Generalâs involvement, an inter-ministerial committee and the Ministry of Public Works?"}
