Wamalwa, because part (b) says one should hold a master’s degree from a university recognised in Kenya. So, we delete that. What are we remaining with? If you go to paragraph (d), it says ‘…is a member of a professional body regulating the relevant profession’. So, we should state that it is a bachelor’s degree because there are people who have master’s degrees, but have never had a bachelor’s degree. This is a new law. We are not saying there is an existing law that had talked of a bachelor’s degree. So, if we remove ‘master’s’, then we have a vacuum. So, the Chair can substitute that."}
