Temporary Deputy Chairman, May I draw your attention to the fact that we are transacting a very serious business. In the adoption process, bodies like the child welfare societies are bodies which give background information in that process. I was confirming to Members that that process is already too tedious. You cannot make a body which is not as statutory body mandated to do specific things and adoption body outside the framework of adoption already in law. For that reason, I would support the amendments proposed by Hon. Nyikal and request colleagues to oppose this. In fact, we would have gotten the views of lawyers. This is a very mistaken amendment."}
