Chair, Maina Kamanda, will look at the amendment and see how he will ensure that if the Chair of the Commission is a man, as is always the case in this country, then the Vice or the Deputy Chair is a woman. Women hardly become chairs. I am happy that there is an amendment that talks about the Vice-Chair having the powers to act in the absence of the Chair. Traditionally, that is how it is in Kenya. If the chair is a man and is not around, it is the woman who is the vice-chair who will take that opportunity. For the first time, I want to see a woman becoming the Chair of that Commission."}
