As a Government, we have already established the first Kenya-owed vaccine institute – the Kenya Veterinary Vaccine Production Institute (KEVEVAPI). It is part of the creation of the disease-free zones. Secondly, yes, the creation of disease-free zones, as a flagship project, will be achieved in the 2011/2012 financial year, now that the donors and the Government have confirmed their financial commitment to this project. I want to assure this House that the creation of disease-free zones is a flagship project in the Ministry of Livestock Development, under Vision 2030. We are there, as Government and as Ministry, to make sure that it is achieved within the time set."}
