It is a matter that many of us had not given thought about because, typically, the process of adoption in this country seems to have been a preserve of the very rich and foreigners. Indeed, this brings into the limelight the question of children and how we get children that we have adopted into a family and induct them. I know the process of adoption at times is by choice. Sometimes it happens by accident or by an act of God, but it seems the focus of this amendment is a process that is formal and a natural process. I support the amendments brought by Hon.
