The reason given is that it empowers a sponsor to make proposals and not recommendations for the review of the curriculum books and other teaching materials. We believe that the role of a sponsor should not be spiritual support. This is because Kenya is a liberal country that enjoys freedom of conscious, religion, believe and opinion under Article 32 of the Constitution. So, we are proposing to delete the word ‘spiritual’."}
