Otiende and as a Mover of the Tax Laws (Amendment) Bill, this is not part of the Bill but a Committee amendment. I totally agree that it is in the wrong Bill. In as much as I have a lot of respect for the Chair, I think we have passed so many things related to COVID-19, like reducing Value Added Tax on masks and other items. This amendment is so huge that it will open a pandora’s box of serious litigation. As we are seated here landlord-tenant is a personal relationship. You cannot put it in law.
