Some of those things bother us so much as leaders and Kenyan citizens. I want to encourage the people whose loved ones are missing and give them hope that it is just a matter of time before they will find them. The other day, we found someone who had been missing for two years. He came back. We are, therefore, hopeful that some of the persons who are still missing will come back. We have a record of how many people we have lost, how many have actually died, how many animals have been stolen, and how many have been recovered. We have all the data, and it is verifiable. Hon. They brought to book some criminals who engaged in horrendous activities like the Kware and Eastleigh murders. There is no statute of limitation of a crime. I know that from 2014 to 2022, in excess of 1,200 Kenyans have disappeared. Many of them disappeared even before there was a change of guard between the Government of Hon. Uhuru and the current Government. Bodies ‘turned up’ in Yala River and in many other places. Personally, I cannot account for eight relatives, some whom were business people. Nobody knows of their whereabouts. Therefore, there is need for us to establish a commission of inquiry to investigate disappearances of people dating back to 2014 to today. The commission will ask people with missing members of their families to come forth. That way, we will put to closure the search of missing persons who have disappeared over the years. I am not focusing on what has been happening in the last couple of months. I know many people are obsessed with those matters. I regret what happened. I want to assure the affected families that we feel their pain. Let us investigate from 2014 to-date so that we put to closure the search of missing persons. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker."}]}
