Under Article 41 of the Constitution, the Labour Relations Act and other labour laws of this Republic, what is the fate of more than 9,000 interns who were hired under the Ministry and in partnership with county governments? I am aware that health is a devolved function. Is this a silver bullet in finishing the many strikes of doctors, nurses and other kinds of medical practitioners that we normally see outside Parliament? Is the Ministry in the process of transiting them to permanent and pensionable terms because you are violating Article 41 of the 2010 Constitution of Kenya by having the interns in that position for six years? Is it fair, Madam Waziri ?
