Thank you for allowing me to add my voice to this important debate concerning the motorbike riders. More than 2,000,000 young Kenyans are in that sector and are doing some serious business. I support this because it enables our young people to earn a living and has, in a way, also helped the economy. When you go to villages, especially the remotest parts of this country like Marsabit and other places where vehicles cannot reach, motorbikes are of great help to the people. We must come up with ways to secure their lives and make sure that we have laws in place to ensure their safety, even when riding at night. Again, we must ensure that they receive enough training. Due to the demand, many of them just train themselves and then go into the business. We need to ensure that NTSA comes up with proper ways of training them and even give them certificates.
